| | it seems that 2006 was not the best for many of my friends. it was not my most favorite year either. it was really difficult. but if we allow him to, God will step into our heartbreaking situations and teach us SO much. i learned a lot, so at least i can walk away from 2006 with lessons learned. One of the biggest was the reminder that God's plans for my life are so much more amazing than any I could dream up, and that he wants me to put aside myself for others, because my life is not about me. I am called to be a servant, a light, and a vessel. I pray that this and other lessons are deeply ingrained in me.
2006 highlights:
- i completed my first year at temple successfully
- i made it to my 21st year on earth
- my adorable cousin don christian was born in july
- i finally reached senior status!
2007 goals:
(the usuals)
- spend way more time talking with God & reading his word
- exercise more regularly (even once a week would be nice!)
- make more time to spend quality time with quality friends
- try to snag an editorial internship for the summer
- listen to God's direction & find an amazing way to serve in 2008 after i graduate!
